Bernie`s Restaurant in Montgomery Center

My fiance and I have been going to Bernie's weekly for six months, the food is nothing short of fabulous, the portions are ample, we split the sixteen ounce steak, John creates unusual and unbelievably tasty combinations, the staff are warm and friendly, they alone make you want to return.It's a cozy family atmosphere but at the same time very intimate.We could go on but you get the idea, we've spent more for a heck of a lot less, we drive a little under fifty miles round-trip to go there, would probably be willing to go a lot farther.Thanks Mary, John and Bernie and the rest of the staff.

Authentic Vermont small town restaurant. The people were so friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent. This is a perfect place to stop on the way to Jay Peak for skiing. Highly recommended. As far as value goes my breakfast was half the cost of a similar meal found in Southwest Michigan at a smaller place like this. Will make it a point to return when am in the area.

It was a bit slow on getting food today but I had the Swiss blackened chicken and it was very good.

Nachos were wonderful....serving size was very generous enough to feed 4 people! Needless to say I had too much left over! 😢

Homemade desert are spectacular! Good choices of food for everyone. Can be taken out and it is very good. Wish we had some restaurants like this back in Québec! Simple but so good and cosy.

One of THE best meals I have had in a long time. Worth EVERY penny. One of the owners cooked our meals and all three of us were very happy. Loved our server Noelle as well.

Wonderful food and waitress. My wife loved her stuffed filet mignon. The chef created an impromtu vegan dish of noodles, assorted veggies and beans for me that was stellar. Highly recommend!

I pulled into this restaurant tonight after spending the day at Jay peak water park. I walked in with a few friends and my partner and we sat down ordered a 16 oz steak everything was so good! Best steak Iv ever ate! I give this restaurant a 5 star and I'll be back this summer with my mustang for our weekend cruise!! Best place ever!!

Very great place for a Monday morning breakfast. Lot of places are closed Monday mornings but Bernie's is not. I ate there was a party of three and all of the omelets were delicious perfectly burnt home fries with onions. Forgot to take a picture of this time but I highly recommend best place for breakfast.

Dinner was ok. Breakfast/ lunch, I would not go back. Rude staff. When your only serving a couple people that's just unacceptable. No wonder the place was mostly empty.

After a long day at Jay Peak resort , my partner and I, along with our friends stopped at this small diner. We were unsure about it at first because it looked like a house , but when we went in it was very cozy and comfortable. The waitress was extremely polite and kind to us and was attentive to her job. The food was amazing, with great portion sizes. Everything was home made and had supreme taste .this little diner may not look like much from the outside , but it's taste and kindness will blow you away ! 5 stars for sure !

Always a great meal, I frequently can be found there on Mondays or Thursdays as that is their Mexicana night. And their prices are less expensive than going up to Jay Peak... I know they like to keep ya on the mountain but Montgomery Ctr. offers many eateries at less bucks and Bernie's is one of those fine establishments.

Delicious dinners, great breakfasts. If you are skiing Jay Peak, it is worth coming down to town for a meal.

Do yourself a favour if you are staying at the jay peak resort. Get away from those bland restaurants and go to Bernie's. Went on Mexican Monday and it was the best food I have had in years and the meals were 10 bucks. Don't let the outside or the crappy website fool you. Check them out!

I don't know where to begin,...food mediocre, service poor and actually rude. We were a larger party and would have to think long and hard to when we received such poor service at a better restaurant.

I LOVE their chicken francais! They have the best menu in 3counties! A little pricey, but if you want a large variety of good meals... it's worth it!

I was pleasantly surprised by this quaint little restaurant. The atmosphere was only alright, but the food... TO DIE FOR. My review only deserves four stars rather than the prestigious five stars though because of one minor quirk, the bathrooms. They did not meet the standards that I have for an average restaurant bathroom, and therefore my review only gets four stars. Regardless I gotta say, gg Bernies.

While staying at the nearby Jay Peak resort, we were looking for a nice dinner spot. Bernie's gave us a warm welcome from the minute we stepped in: the staff were courteous and efficient, exactly what we needed after the cold weather outside.My 6yo and 4yo both ordered spaghetti from the children's menu, which was a success. The children's chicken parm was a nice surprise. My wife and I each got one of the pasta dishes, which were delicious. Finally we had a huge sundae as dessert, we ordered one and it fed the whole family.Bernie's was a nice break from the resort restaurants. I strongly recommend it if you're in the area.

Very nice place. Food is just great. If you want to eat a homemade food, that's the place. We were really impressed. Plats are big portions. Waitress was always with a smile in her face. I would really recommend. The food is the best nearby. Don't lose time eating fries at the resort. Bernies, thank you for the good food. :)
